Diane holds a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University and is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, with a focus on performance nutrition.
Diane works with clients to promote an active lifestyle that incorporates strength training, functional movement, and Callisthenics. Her training focuses on combining bodyweight movements with strength and mobility. As a trainer, her goal is to empower her clients to feel strong and confident in their own bodies. Diane is a huge proponent of educating her clients and will take the time to explain the progressions and regressions behind certain exercises.
Diane has experience working with all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are looking to just move and get your heart rate up, achieve a skill like a pull-up, or hit a new strength PR, your goals are her goals and she promises to fully show up for you and your session.
Working out and moving your body is one of the most important things you can do for yourself, in addition to good sleep hygiene and a balanced diet. You aren't always going to be in the mood to workout, or have the most energy, however, Diane is a huge proponent of showing up with what you have and her intention is to ensure you walk out of the workout feeling more energized and empowered than when you came in.
Movement, in any shape or form, is one of her daily intentions. If she isn't in the gym lifting, or working on her muscle ups, you can find her out and about walking her dog!
As a Nutritionist, Diane is a huge proponent of fuelling your workouts, to ensure you are optimizing your performance and recovery. Diane is most passionate about ensuring her clients are eating enough to fuel their workouts. Building muscle or losing fat is a responsibility. One which can be done in a healthy way, through progressive overload, a structured plan, and a bit of patience. Diane is a huge proponent of building a lifestyle that incorporates both movement and nourishment, which allows her clients to achieve their goals and maintain their results.
